This may be a bit ahead of time, but does anybody know what the travel plans might be like for that weekend? I think it's a 6-hour drive. The match is less than 3 weeks away, so it might be good to figure out now if people want to stay there Friday night, or drive all day Saturday, or what. This will be my last Kelts outing before heading up North, and it would be nice to get out some good numbers despite the travel distance. What's everyones suggestions/preferences on travel?

According to mapquest it's about a 4+ hour drive. Can anyone verify from experience? So not sure what the team plan is, but assuming that's true and the game's are not too early, I was going to try to go without staying either night. Either way, I am in.
I am in and will more than likely be driving down in the morning cause getting up early is no big deal for me. However, since their bar is on UT's campus and there is a football game that night, there is a good chance that I will be looking to stay there and get a room so I can, in the words of Hula, "RAGE!". Either way, I am going. Unless of course I am lucky enough to be invited to the Midwest Select camp which is that weekend in Chicago. Hopefully everyone understands that decision.

I've been to Knoxville 4 times and it usually takes about 4 1/2 hours to get there. Barring a ton of pee breaks.

You people must drive like a bunch of fuckin grandmas! it is approx 315 miles from Ciny to Knoxville which makes it about 4 hours. Ive made it in as little as a bit over 3 and as much as almost 5. If you plan on goin down friday night id suggest getting there before 7 pm because a lot of the streets will be full or closed due to parties for the game. Im planning on goin down early on saturday. Plan a bit of extra time to navigate the game traffic. Do we know where the game field is yet? I am also planning on staying the night there saturday, UTK is a hell of a place to be on game weekend, especially after a win (Mardi Gras/St. Patty's day in one night).

Ok with the directions Tony posted to the pitch, you should not run into too much traffic around Knoxville if you are goin down saturday morning. Im sure there will be a heavier volume but not too bad around 275. It will likely only take about 3 hours to get to 275, but who knows about traffic from there. I dont have time right now but does their website list any hotels close to their bar or anything? Or does anyone know of any close to campus, etc?

Ok as of right now the closest thing I can find is about 8 miles from downtown up 75 north. Holiday Inn Express, $85 for the night 2 beds, max 5 people per room. We need to get on this in the next day or two because most places are already booked because of the home game that weekend.
Ph 865-938-3800. Im goin to keep looking for places closer to town.
I plan on staying Sat night.

Ok one closer, Comfort Inn @ 5334 Central Avenue Pike, about 5 miles from UT's Campus has 4 double bed rooms available at 65.66/night. This is the closest and least expensive I have found. Is this what we want?
Anyone?

Ok here is the phone number for the hotel, call and reserve a room if you want to stay the night. 865-688-1010.
It lists the rate on its site ate about $72/night but I saw it through the Knoxville homepage for $65.66 so ask for that and they may give it to you. Post on here when you have a room, and if you need people to room with ya. Im goin to call later today and get one, so who's in my room?
