The League is now starting to take some shape!
We have confirmed 4 teams:
North Bend (St. X area)
East Side "Nomads" (Madeira-Indian Hill area)
Walnut Hills
Westside (Oak Hills area)
Each club will be responsible for setting up their own practice times and locations. The league schedule will be as follows:
All matches will be played on Sundays at Brimelow Fields in Fairfield, with the first kickoff at noon.
April 7 & 14 - Controlled Scrimmages
April 21, 28, and May 5 - Round Robin
May 12 - Semi-Finals
May 19 - Consolation and Championship
All teams could still use extra coaches. Even if you might only be able to make 1 practice a week or every other week, the help would be greatly appreciated. The only requirement you would have is to register as a coach with that club with your CIPP individual registration. There is a Red Cross Sports Medicine clinic that we are STRONGLY recommeding all coaches to attend. To register send an email to Toad at qcrugby@yahoo.com.
We also need referees. Each mens club will sponsor up to two persons to atttend a certification clinic to referee these games. If you have interest, please contact Tom Foy at foyrugby@aol.com.
To hook up with a club to help coach, contact the following persons:
North Bend - Mike Mers (751-8241)
East Side - Fred Woodhouse (561-8051)
Walnut Hills - Bill (Jamal) Griffes (251-3215)
West Side - Mark (Toad) Harlow (471-9847)
