I am now on a full-time job search if anybody knows anything. I am primarily an MS Access Database and VB developer. Also pretty proficient in Excel VBA, but not really a big fan. But if it pays the bills, I may consider doing it. I have applied for a couple positions at Children's and have an inside source. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hook...I'd reccomend Children's... They have a bunch of jobs open and always need english speaking DBA's.....

But do we have to be nice? I did a couple searches and applied for a position called Data Coordinator in the Oncology/Hematology department. What's my best approach? Should I search "DBA"? Is there any way to follow-up applications?

I second that, what is the best way to follow up on your app to Children's? I have found a few positions and want to make sure I take the proper steps and use what little leverage I have with people who already work there. I also know hospitals are usually big on internal hiring... any advice before I throw my app out there would be nice. ( There were a couple CSR/ HR positions I was looking at.)

Hook,
When searching for computer jobs, most of them end with either specialist or analyst, so I'd recommend searching like that... Now with following up with the positions I'd probably just say call the HR department...you might even ask for Marissa, she might be able to shed some light on where your application is in the process. I do know sometimes things move reeeeeal slow here...but hopefully she might be able to tell you more. Just tell her you are with the Kelts and know me... Anthony..probably the same for you, I'd just call and see if she can tell you whats happening...

I am now employed, pending drug screen and background check. Which means another week of vacation. The drug screen should be fine, I made sure to stay at least 50 feet away from Hula on Saturday just to be safe. The job is with CDI, that does a lot of work for GE. So I may be seeing some of you who are left in the Kelts GE contingent. I'll be in the building next to Dane's. Thanks to Hula and WOW Gold and everybody else that has looked at this thread.

I would like to hear that an old guy actually pulled a handbag out and clobbered one of the new little Kelts...that would be awesome! Dan can you please get pics of that since I will not be there????

I was watching a 6 nations game last year and there was a bit of a scuffle. The ref took the two captains aside and said, "That was nothing but handbagging, so no one is going to the bin."

If handbagging is the same thing as nut smacking, we've got to keep it legal. That's a major part of my take-down technique.
