Since it seems like people are in the mood to acquire new things right now, I thought I would throw out the fact that the shelter I work at has 10 puppies right now. All REALLY cute and sweet.
3 beagly type looking puppies - prob going to be pretty small
6 husky/shepherdy mixes
1 fluffy little puppy that just got dumped Monday that I want but can't have - not sure exactly what it is yet - hard to tell when they're that little.

Think about it - everyone needs a sweet little dog to come home to. For most of you, its the only thing that will actually be happy to see your ugly mug when you come home.

For the feline favorers - we have a PLETHORA of cats and kittens right now also - also very adorable.

I have a cat if anyone is looking for one. my stupid neighbors that got evicted decided to lock it in the basement. I freed it but now it hangs out on my back porch. I feed it but I'm deathly allergic to this one for some reason so I can't even pick it up. I don't even know if it's male or female actually. I call it The Cow (it has the same coloring as one)...it's a cool cat but needs someone that can actually pet it.

Kenny I'm not going to go there, but you have just left yourself open to a PLETHORA of insults. Just a little warning!

Jen and I (actually just me) are looking for a dog to waste more money on. Jill, are there any mostly grown SHORT haired, medium build dogs in your shelter? Jen gets all wheezy and blotchy around big shedders so we need a dog that doesn't molt. Also, if you could find one that is calm, because I really dislike hyperactive yap yap dogs. Personally, I'd love to have a malamute, but the hair and the size would not make Jen happy. I wouldn't mind, however, a full blooded English Bulldog. Got any of those hanging out at the pound? Get back to me if any of your dogs match my needs list. Sorry that I can't take one of the husky puppies, but Jen would kick my arse the first time it took a leak on the carpet.

This Sunday is the Open House at the shelter I work at. This is the only time of the year that people are allowed to roam throughout the shelter and see all of the animals. There are also raffles and stuff for sale - but you don't have to participate in any of that - I know I don't. So if you have time come out and check it out. There are tons of cute puppies and kittens that would love a little extra petting. Its located on Red Bank Road between Rte 50 and Madison Rd. (I'll get the address posted later) Its from 12-4, so come visit if you have the chance!

The address is 4011 (I think - why can I never remember?) Its a grey/blue building set back from the road. If you are coming from Madison, it is just pass the overpass on the right. If you get to the train tracks or the Ohio Sports Mall you've gone too far. The opposite is true if you are coming from 50.
