I don't know if everyone received Funhater's e-mail about the August 3rd Harlotfest at Brimlowe. Basically, if you haven't heard, The Hounds are sponsoring a Harlotfest at Brimlowe field on Saturday August 3rd and all the area rugby teams are invited. Casey Schneiber is our contact point. I will put the specific info here when I figure out how to cut and paste it.

So who's up for a little rugby next wekend?

Here's the message from Kelts News forwarded from Funhater about the Harlot Fest.

WHAT: A tens rugby tournament that randomly combines
ruggers onto teams. The tournament is part of an
evening Family Fun Festival that includes live
music, food, drink, and Monte Carlo Style games such
as black jack, craps, and pull tabs.

WHEN: August 3, 2002. Last chance for registration
will be at 2:30 p.m., with games beginning at 3 p.m.

WHERE: Brimelow Fields in Fairfield, Ohio (for
directions, see www.wolfhoundsrfc.com)

WHO: Any interested collegiate or mens club players..
bring a light (white/yellow) and dark (blue/black)
colored jersey!!!

COST: Entry fee per individual is $5, and that
includes your first cold beverage!!

REGISTRATION: Send to caseyschnieber@yahoo.com the
following information 1) Name, 2) club, 3)
age, 4) years playing rugby, and 5) your position of
choice (with backups). Or, call Casey Schnieber at
513.731.2114 with the same information. ***We
prefer early registration so teams can be made before
the day of the tournament. Money can be handed in
early or the day of the
tournament.

HOW: Tourney format will be dependant on number of
participants, however, teams should expect around three
matches. Half length is ten minutes (remember,
its hot in August!!). The forward pack consists of
the tight five (1-5), and the backs have a SH, FH, and
three others. If front row players are lacking,
uncontested scrums will be used. Teams will be posted
on the day of the tournament.

Matt, Cam, and myself are going to the select shindig. Can we still register and possibly get in a late game? Just wondering because 10's sounds like fun. If Curt and myself wind up on opposite teams, we could have a "High Noon" of the rakers.

Sounds like a remake of the "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly", but I won't touch that one. Lisa, do you know how long these Select side things last?

I only have experience with the women's, which usually wraps up at around 4:00pm... but, the men's and women's camps have absolutely nothing to do with each other, so that means absolutely nothing!!

Is there anyone that can give me a ride TO the Harlotfest? I have a ride home but no way to get there. I live downtown.

Matt, Cam, and Scott
I am going to have to leave around 6:30 or 7 so if one of you wants to play for me, feel free. And good luck in Columbus!

If you still need a ride I'll scoop you! I'll be down that way tomorrow before the Harlotfest anyway! My cell number is 484-6199, or post a reply.

I know I should probably be doing something a little more exciting on a Friday night than posting on the internet, BUT...I do still need a ride. My phone number is 721-1134 and my cell is 478-9036. Give me a call in the morning and I'll give you directions and find out what time. Thanks a ton.

Hey Tony, you had a ride home all right. Sorry, pal. Hope you're doing well.

I'm fine thanks. Still a little shakey but no big deal. I'll be at practice Tues, although I am not supposed to do anything strenuous for a few days. You can laugh at me then.

I feel you, brother. If anyone is sympathetic towards mouth injuries, it would be myself. I could add that guy to my payback list.

What happened?

Correct me if I'm wrong. He got popped in the mouth by that U.C. prop's head. I guess he got a few stitches in his lip. Needles to say, I had some nasty flashbacks.

Tony

Yeah, that's what happened. 5 stitches on the outside and 2 inside and a lip the size of a lobster tail. Not to mention I wasn't really with it when I tried to stand up. It took a couple people to steady me.

Joe

Fort, I wouldn't worry about Hook's payback list, he'd need a really big loan from somebody else to handle it.

I will do my best! With a little hard work and determination, anything is possible.

That was a good one, Mongo. Was that from Rambo, WWF, Power Rangers?
